Rovy Branon is associate dean of online learning and technology and executive director of the Academic Advanced Distributed Learning Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Extension. He has more than twenty years of experience leading innovative learning technology teams. Rovy earned his Ph.D. at Indiana University-Bloomington in Instructional Systems Technology.
Rovy Branon is the associate dean for online learning and director of the Academic ADL Co-Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Extension in Madison. Prior to his current appointment, he was team leader of learning strategy and instructional design for Eli Lilly and Company’s U.S. Field Sales. In addition to his current role, Rovy is an adjunct Instructional Systems Technology faculty member at Indiana University-Bloomington. He is speaks at many training and education conferences.

He leads a 45-member team that includes the Academic Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Co-Laboratory, instructional design, IT application development, creative media services, and the UW System eCampus. He has more than 20 years of learning technology leadership experience in start-up, corporate, and higher ed settings. Rovy earned a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology and Human-Computer Interaction at Indiana University and continues to serve as an IU faculty member. He is a requested speaker and consultant for business, government, and higher ed organizations.

He has more than twenty years of instructional media and learning technology development experience in corporate, higher education, and not-for-profit settings. Rovy holds a Ph.D. from Indiana University with a major in Instructional Systems Technology and a minor in Human-computer Interaction. He is a regular speaker at many training and education conferences covering a range of topics including: learning technology, training organization effectiveness, and instructional design trends.
